Malcolm Ovens "Digiscoping"
Digiscoping at Pennington Hants
Equipment as seen in the picture above
Nikon ED82A scope with a 30x or 50x eyepiece, Red dot device with homemade external battery box and charging port, Homemade swing up adaptor, Nikon P5100 camera, Homemade swing up magnifier for LCD screen and homemade mouth operated cable release.
Update.......I now use a Manfrotto 501HDV  video head which is far better than the 701RC2 I was using in the picture above. The 501 is quite a bit heavier but has a much better balance system, the scope/ camera weight, has a far less tendency to move off the target.

Need help identifying that little brown bird, or having problems getting to grips with those small waders. Then try a field visit or sign up for a course at TwoOwls birding,
we recommend them.

All Bird pictures unless otherwise stated, were taken using a Nikon ED82 scope with a 30X or 50X DS eyepiece.
I have made various adaptors since I started Digiscoping to fit different cameras to the scope.
Cameras used are Fuji F30, Nikon P5000,  P5100,  P6000, Canon A590is, Nikon D90 SLR
and Panasonic G1
